How the calculations work

A calculation should be inspectable. Here is what this edition computes, what it assumes and what still needs validation.

Free application methods

The detailed free Kundli report uses the owner's supplied AstroSuman calculation code, including its Source Dynamic Nadi, Lahiri, legacy and custom choices. The quick Kundali workspace continues to use the separate Astronomy Engine comparison profile described below. Their results may differ because their methods differ; neither is independently certified here. Numerology preserves the supplied single-digit arithmetic, YY-MM-DD grid convention and 81 combinations. Vedic Cards are symbolic selections. Ram Shalaka retains the supplied selection map and reading collection; its scripture edition and attribution require review. These tools do not assess medical conditions or guarantee events.

Astronomy provider & time

Astronomy Engine 2.1.19 (MIT) computes geocentric true ecliptic-of-date longitudes and observer rise/set events. Modern Indian civil times are converted explicitly from IST to UTC. This edition supports 1950–2100; historical timezone reconstruction is not offered. City coordinates are rounded city centres in a development catalogue, not a verified birthplace survey.

The comparison profile

Sidereal comparison subtracts 23.85675° at J2000 plus a linear 50.29 arcseconds/year mean precession. This is an approximation, not a certified Lahiri or owner-approved Nadi ayanamsha. Whole-sign houses, a geometric Ascendant, mean lunar nodes and 365.25-day Vimshottari years are provisional conventions. A custom fixed decimal offset is available only as an explicitly labelled comparison.

Panchang & daylight periods

Tithi uses the Moon–Sun longitude difference; Nakshatra uses sidereal Moon longitude; Yoga uses the sidereal Sun–Moon sum; Karana uses half-Tithi divisions. Values are sampled at local sunrise, with civil-day transitions found by a bounded search. Rahu, Yamaganda and Gulika use weekday daylight eighths. Hora uses twelve daylight parts. Festival occurrence, parana, lunar months, regional variants and ritual exceptions require specialist rules.

What is gated

The owner’s exact ayanamsha, house-signification derivation, Sub-Lord permission/denial algorithm, event matrices, DBA aggregation and transit/aspect predicates remain unresolved. Therefore no automatic Nadi event verdict is produced. The career rule explorer takes manual example sets and only demonstrates the recorded support score. No Sub-Sub-Lord is included.

Validation before public release

Numerical boundaries and workflows have automated tests; independent ephemeris comparison, owner-chart calibration and specialist religious-calendar review are still required. This first edition must not be described as a fully validated astrology service.
