Vijayadashami
A day of victory, learning and new beginnings, expressed through distinct regional traditions.
Victory in different traditions
Vijayadashami is associated with the completion of Navratri and with narratives of Rama and Devi. Ramlila, immersion processions, worship of tools and beginnings in learning have different importance across communities. These practices share a festival season without becoming identical rituals.
Choose a meaningful beginning
A small commitment to study, craft or service can make the day personally meaningful. If following a specific ritual, use its own reviewed convention and local arrangements. This introduction does not certify a ceremony time or promise a particular outcome.
Date and puja timings are awaiting approved festival rules. This guide does not provide an occurrence date. Editorial review pending.
